Additional Note: The NTSB report (SEA92FA113) indicated the the pilot probably lost control and entered a stall/spin before impacting the ground in a nearly vertical position. The pilot was not familiar with the area, nor did he have mountain flying experience. The pilot was flying toward an uphill slope which commonly causes a stall/spin with pilots who are not familiar with mountain flying.
