Missing hiker calls on cell phone

At approximately 1830 on November 5, RMRU responded to a Riverside Sheriff's Department request to search for a lost hiker. A 39 year old woman had hiked to a peak in the Carumba area and became disoriented. She thought that she would need assistance getting out in the dark and contacted her husband by cell phone. Upon arrival at Humber Park RMRU team members began setting up base and sent a team up the Devil's Slide Trail to Saddle Junction. Approximately 1 mile up the trail the team met the missing hiker. An abort was sent out and team members completed necessary paperwork and went home at 2100.
