RMRU was called out to rescue a man who had fallen down a cliff off Hwy 74. Kevin Walker was first on-scene with our communications van, only to witness the CHP helicopter winching the man to safety.
The rest of the team was notified and we all turned around and headed back for our homes and families. The Hemet station of the Riverside Sheriffss Office has recently taken over the patrolling of the Sugar Loaf/Santa Rosa area, so look for more RMRU rescues in those mountain areas.
