Hiker Stranded on San Jacinto Peak

RMRU was activated to respond to a missing Pacific Crest Trail through-hiker who had not shown up at the Snow Creek trailhead on schedule. As members were arriving and the Incident Command Post was being set up, the reporting party (the backpacker's wife) realized she had made a mistake and that he wasn't due until the following day. Responding members returned home leaving a very embarrassed reporting party to deal with the deputies on scene.
