Two hikers overdue

We received a call from the Banning Station of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department that two men were overdue in returning from a trip in the San Jacinto Mountains. The call came in the late afternoon, and with still enough light to fly, a helicopter was ordered. During the callout procedure, the two men walked out unharmed.
