Missing off-road motorcyclist

Two
men went riding off-road motorcycles on November
13th in very difficult terrain. Eventually, the
terrain became so difficult that neither
motorcycle could continue. The men decided to
walk out. During their hike out, the men became
separated. One man was able to walk out, but one
was still missing. Concerned for his friend, who
hadn't shown up yet, the motorcyclist called
authorities at about 2:00 AM. Desert
Search and Rescue was paged out by the Riverside
Sheriff's department shortly after 2:00 AM. RMRU
was paged out at about 8:00 AM to assist with the
search. As the first few members of RMRU arrived
on scene, we learned the missing rider had walked
out on his own.
