Hiker lay with broken leg for two days

A female hiker, who was hiking the Pacific Crest Trail from South to North, slipped and broke her leg Tuesday morning. On Thursday, another hiker found her. The hiker gave her water and then hiked out for help. The Idyllwild fire department responded with paramedics and provided medical treatment. A helicopter was called to assist with evacuation but darkness arrived too soon. RMRU was then called for the carry-out.
